Developed and patented by Andrea Electronics Corporation, Active Noise Cancellation Microphone technology significantly improves speech intelligibility by electronically creating a 180 degree out-of-phase signal that cancels background noise and echo speaker feedback. Incorporating its Active Noise Cancellation technology, Andrea Anti-Noise PC Headsets/Handsets -- including the dual-function, ear-mounted ANC-100 headset and desktop microphone; the monaural, ANC-500 headset with on/off mute; and the near-field/far-field, ANC-200 Handset -- significantly improve all voice- computing applications.

Kurzweil VoicePad for Windows enables PC users to seamlessly integrate voice input with the keyboard and mouse, creating a natural and intuitive approach to document creation. Users can create text, enter data and control the word processing application simply by speaking into their PC. Through dictation, users can create memos, letters, reports and other documents while also having the ability to format text, to navigate through the application's menus and dialogs, to change the application's settings, and to preview and print documents using intuitive voice commands. Additionally, Kurzweil VoicePad integrates continuous digit recognition with its discrete dictation capabilities so users can quickly and efficiently enter numbers. The product has an active vocabulary of 12,000 commonly spoken words, and the ability to add 500 user-specific words. No training of Kurzweil VoicePad on the user's voice is required, and it can be used immediately upon installation.
